# A worship-team lyrics library for Sabbath and Sunday services

Service morning — **Sabbath or Sunday** — is a bad time to discover the chorus is in the wrong key or the second verse is still a screenshot. A worship-team lyrics library is a **personal set of charts** you can read, transpose, and open in order — on the device you actually stand with.

Lyrics Library is that kind of songbook. Sign in so **your** songs follow you. It is not a live shared binder for the whole team. If you need to send a chart, export it. If you need the same library on your tablet, [sync your account](/blog/sync-lyrics-across-devices).

## Build charts you can sing from

Type or paste the lyric the congregation will actually hear. Mark [chords on the syllables](/blog/add-guitar-chords-to-lyrics). Keep invented placeholders out of the service folder — “bridge idea” belongs in drafts, not in the 9 a.m. or 10 a.m. list.

A readable service chart usually has:

- Clear verse / chorus / bridge labels in the lyric
- Chords you can hide if you are only cueing words
- A key you can change without reprinting

## One list for the service

Create a [setlist](/blog/build-a-setlist-for-tonight) named for the gathering — “Sabbath 22 Aug · 9am” or “Sunday 23 Aug · 10am” — not a generic “worship songs” pile. Put the welcome song first, the familiar congregational chorus where people need it, and the closer last.

If you play both Sabbath and Sunday, keep **two lists**. Same charts can live in both. The order and the keys often change with the room.

## Stage view is the stand copy

Open the set in [stage view](/blog/stage-view-lyrics-on-phone): large type, screen awake, auto-scroll if you use it. You should look at the room more than the glass. Swipe to the next song when the prayer ends.

If you also play from a paper chart, treat the phone as backup — same words, same order. Do not keep a third version in a notes app that drifted mid-week.

## What the app does not do today

Lyrics Library does not replace a shared planning center or a team-wide cloud folder. Each person signs in to **their** library. That is the honest model:

- Your account holds your songs
- You can share a song as lyrics, ChordPro, or PDF
- You can open the same account on your other devices

Do not promise the band that editing a lyric on your phone will update theirs. If you change a word the night before Sabbath or Sunday, export or tell them.

## A simple Sabbath or Sunday workflow

1. Fix charts during the week
2. Build the service setlist (one list per gathering)
3. Set transpose / capo per song
4. Sign in and open the set once on Wi‑Fi
5. Stand with stage view
